The Salem witch trials occurred in colonial Massachusetts between 1692 and 1693. More than 200 people were accused of practicing witchcraft—the Devil's magic—and 20 were executed. 

At Center for Racial Justice in Education, we believe that the histories, stories, and voices of Black people should be centered, honored, and uplifted in school curricula every day.

A widely believed theory about the origins of Native Americans has been dealt a huge blow by a new genetic analysis of ancient teeth, implying the ancient inhabitants of what is now America were not who we thought they were.

Designed to appease Native Americans, who had occupied the land for millennia, it created a boundary—known as the "proclamation line"—beyond which Europeans could not encroach onto Indigenous lands.
